a bit about me
"Art is an adventure into an unknown world, which can be explored only by those willing to take risks." --Mark Rothko
I have been lucky enough to have spent the last decade travelling the world, calling beautiful places such as New Zealand, Canada & Chamonix all home at some point. These stunning landscapes & incredible environments with their abundance of natural wildlife have been a constant source of inspiration for my art. I am now based on the rugged North Devon coastline, where I have made a little nest to call home with my husband and dog, just a little closer to family.
Many of my paintings focus on the detail; finding the perfect balance between the movement of tumbling white froth and glassy aqua faces within a wave, capturing the array of colours during sunset that reflect on the wet sand creating abstract shapes, or finding the perfect pink hue of Alpine glow on a mountain range; I will never grow tired of trying to imitate the beauty I find in these environments.
I enjoy working with a variety of mediums, each one offers something completely different, just like music, there's something to suit each mood; oils for a slow paced thinking piece- acrylics, think big think quick- watercolour & ink for loose, playful brushstrokes -gold leaf to add that extra dimension.
I am available for commissions, please send any thoughts or ideas you have using the contact page and I'd be happy to discuss things further with you.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my site.

"Rock and roll is fun but if you ever hear someone
Say you are huge look at the moon, look at the stars, look at the sun
Look at the ocean and the desert and the mountains and the sky
Say I am just a speck of dust inside a giant's eye" Kimya Dawson song lyrics from 'I like Giants' album: "Remember That I Love You" (2006)
